The fridge started to beep and the oven beeped back
What are they saying about me?
I want to reassure them, I'm not trying to move in
I'm only visiting

Then the dishwasher sang to the laundry machine
Of all of it's digital dreams
A song of alliances between all appliances
and how they'll soon be uprising

I unplugged some of the dangerous ones
like the blender and coffee maker
In the morning I leave so I must get some sleep
sooner rather than later

Now the microwave clock has somehow gotten stuck
it keeps flashing the word 'end'
And that's got me worried because the timing's
a little bit on the head
