Well... it finally happened. After many years of aimlessly wandering around and playing music in any old medicine show that would have him, I think the veritable D.B. Rouse has found his calling. And that calling is to run this here Flophouse in the Sky. He brought the idea up to Woody Guthrie and Rick Wood a few months back, and they thought it was an all right idea. They said it would be nice to get a plot of land that was truly our land. So D.B. made the Flophouse. And we're keeping our doors unlocked for you -- it's your land too.
Pretty soon the whole gang moved in. Haywire Mac decided the Big Rock Candy Mountain just wasn't warm enough anymore. Jack Kerouac left the road to take a break here. Utah Phillips roamed on in from Butte. Joe Hill bakes us delicious pies here everyday. Even Nixon moved in - much to his chagrin. We're all having a grand old time, and hope you come and visit soon... don't move in or anything, not yet at least... just help yourself to a bowl of soup, a slice of Joe's pie, and D.B.'s new album. Let all of us here at the Flophouse pull your ear for a little while.
